Section 1
When you feel anxious
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
Scripture does not shame the anxious heart. It calls it to prayer. Paul writes from a Roman prison, and still the word he gives the church is peace, not panic.
Notice that the peace of God is described as a guard. It does not erase the situation. It stands watch over the heart and the mind while the situation is still unresolved. That is the kind of peace God gives.
If you cannot find the words tonight, name one thing to God. One. He has never asked you to pray eloquently. He has asked you to come.
